The Shadow Framework

The first Software Framework for 3D Contents made with Polylines Nets or Curved Polygons Nets. It's free, open source and multiplatforms.

Version 4.0 of the Framework is going to be out towards the end of 2019. (We apologize for delays, but despite what we planned in the beginning, the exit of the framework was delayed to close the development of Curved Poly Maker, getting out with the framework is the next step). Hi there! My name is Alessandro (Alex) Martinelli. I'm an italian professionist software developer with a great experience in Computer Graphics. I'm also an independent researcher studying computer graphics software and techniques. After years of research and development, I've merged curves with polygons into a flexible and effective set of instruments you can exploit for games or other virtual reality applications.

This is my Open Source Project, active since 2010, which I wish to share with you.

How Does it work ??


1) Make your models with my wonderful Modeling Kit, Curved Poly, built upon Unity.

2) Render your model with the correct version of the ShadowFramework (4.0) on any platform.

Why should i care?


Models made with Curved Polygons Nets require less space to store in a file and can be shared on the web with ease.

Models can be generated at Run time with different Levels of Detail, even targeting different qualities on different platforms (Check the Curved Poly Demo on LoDs)

Curved Polygons Nets are a great modeling solution for Real Time Computer Graphics: as closed as possible to Polygonal Meshes, they exploits the benefits of being defined other curved splines.
